So I saw this crazy article about a woman who survived a crash in a Tesla that was in self-driving mode. Apparently, the car failed to slow down for a construction zone and ended up crashing into a parked police car! Can you believe that?
Anyway, the woman did suffer some minor injuries, but she’s expected to recover—thank goodness. The article also mentioned that this isn’t the first time Tesla’s autopilot feature has been blamed for accidents. In fact, there have been several in the past where the car failed to detect obstacles or respond appropriately.
I don’t know about you, but I would be pretty nervous about using self-driving mode after hearing all of this. I mean, I know technology is advanced and all, but there’s still room for error—especially when it comes to people’s lives.
Overall, I think it’s important for companies like Tesla to continue refining their self-driving technology and making it as safe and reliable as possible. It would be amazing to have cars that can drive themselves, but not at the cost of people’s safety. Let’s hope they figure it out soon!
