So I was reading this wild article about Elon Musk wanting to build a tunnel system below Las Vegas with his company, The Boring Co. It turns out, former employees were legit scared for their lives while working on this project. Like, they were straight up flirting with death on the daily.
Basically, Musk wanted to create this underground transportation network to ease traffic in Vegas, which sounds cool in theory. But the ex-employees spilled the tea on how messy and unsafe the whole operation was. There were reports of shoddy construction, lack of proper ventilation, and even a near-miss with a boring machine. Yikes.
From what I’ve heard, Musk was all about pushing boundaries and moving fast, which is great for innovation but not so great for safety protocols. It’s like they were cutting corners left and right just to meet deadlines.
In the end, it’s a wake-up call about how important it is to prioritize safety over speed, especially when it comes to massive projects like this. No amount of cool technology is worth risking people’s lives. Elon Musk may be a visionary, but sometimes you gotta slow down and make sure everyone gets out alive.
