Twitter will encrypt private messages, says Elon Musk

So, I just read this article about Twitter and Elon Musk. Apparently, Twitter is going to start encrypting private messages! I always thought it was weird that they didn’t do that before, especially with all the hacking and privacy concerns out there. But now they’re finally getting their act together.

Basically, what this means is that when you send a message to someone on Twitter, it will be encrypted and more difficult for anyone to intercept or read. This is great news for people who use Twitter to communicate with friends, family, or colleagues, and want to make sure their conversations stay private.

According to the article, Elon Musk tweeted about the new feature, saying it was “long overdue.” I have to agree with him on that one. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve sent a message on Twitter and worried about who else might be able to see it.

One thing to keep in mind is that this only applies to private messages, not public tweets. So if you’re tweeting something out to the world, it’s still going to be out there for everyone to see. But for those one-on-one conversations, this is a big step in the right direction.

Overall, I think this is an important development for Twitter, and for online communication in general. It shows that companies are taking privacy seriously, and that they’re willing to invest in tools to protect their users. As someone who uses Twitter a lot, I’m definitely happy to see this change.
