Toyota has unveiled its first all-electric vehicle to compete with Tesla, the BZ4X SUV. While the vehicle boasts a sleek design and eco-friendly capabilities, it has one flaw that may deter potential buyers: the lack of interior photos. The BZ4X is part of Toyota’s push towards electrification and is expected to hit the market in 2022. The vehicle will be built on Toyota’s e-TNGA platform, which they developed with Subaru. It will hold a range of up to 373 miles and offer multiple powertrain options. However, the limited release of interior photos has left some wondering about the functionality of the vehicle’s dashboard and infotainment system. Toyota has not yet released pricing information for the BZ4X. Overall, Toyota’s entrance into the electric vehicle space, especially in competition with Tesla, reinforces the increasing trend towards sustainability and clean energy. However, Toyota will need to address the public’s concerns about the vehicle’s interior in order to succeed in the highly competitive EV market.
