This automaker is set for Tesla supercharger deal: Analyst

Automaker Lucid Motors is said to be in talks with Tesla to use the latter’s supercharger network, according to Wedbush Securities Analyst, Dan Ives. This move could give Lucid a competitive edge in the EV market as they prepare to launch their first EV, the Lucid Air. If the deal goes through, Lucid motorists will be able to utilize Tesla’s 20,000+ supercharging stations globally. This will save Lucid time and resources, as it will not need to build its own supercharger network. Lucid also plans to implement bi-directional charging technology, which could potentially allow Tesla car owners to use it as well. The use of Tesla’s charging stations is a smart, practical move for Lucid, demonstrating the importance of efficient charging infrastructure for the growth of the EV sector. As automakers flock to EVs, the availability and ease of charging are essential for ensuring the success of a company’s EV models.
