So I just read this article about The Boring Company and how they quickly resolved some violations from TCEQ. Basically, The Boring Company is owned by Elon Musk (yes, that same guy behind Tesla and SpaceX) and they’re developing underground tunnel systems for transportation.
Apparently, they were hit with some violations from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality for unclear reasons. But rather than dragging out the process and fighting the violations, The Boring Company jumped in and resolved them quickly.
I think it’s great that they were proactive about fixing the issues, rather than trying to argue their way out of it. It shows that they’re taking their responsibility to the environment seriously, and that can only be a good thing for the future of transportation.
Personally, I’ve always been intrigued by the concept of underground travel. It’s a bit scary, sure, but it could also help alleviate congestion and make travel more efficient. Plus, it’s just a really cool idea.
Overall, I think it’s important to keep an eye on what companies like The Boring Company are doing, because they could change the way we get around in the future. And if they can do it responsibly and sustainably, then all the better.
