Tesla Was Once About Climate Change, Driverless Cars, AI. Now What?

So, I just read this really interesting article titled “Tesla Was Once About Climate Change, Driverless Cars, AI. Now What?” and it got me thinking about how Tesla’s focus has evolved over the years. Basically, the article talks about how Tesla started off with a strong focus on climate change, driverless cars, and AI, but now things seem to be shifting a bit.

From what I gathered, the main points are that Tesla was originally founded with a mission to combat climate change by creating electric vehicles and transitioning the world to sustainable energy. They were also super obsessed with developing self-driving technology, and were even considered pioneers in that field. And of course, let’s not forget about their advancements in artificial intelligence.

But recently, it seems like Tesla’s priorities have shifted a bit. The company is now more focused on profitability and building a successful business model. This has led them to prioritize more on luxury vehicles, like the Model S and the upcoming Roadster, rather than affordable electric cars for the masses. They’ve also made huge investments in expanding their charging network and battery technology.

Now, I’ve been following Tesla for a while, and I have to say that I kind of saw this shift coming. As much as I appreciated their original mission of saving the planet, I also understand the need for them to be financially successful in order to make a real impact. After all, without profits, they won’t have the resources to continue their research and development. And let’s face it, luxury vehicles do tend to have higher profit margins.

But at the same time, I can’t help but feel a little disappointed. I was really excited about the idea of owning an affordable, eco-friendly Tesla one day. It’s like the dream of driving a car that helps the environment and doesn’t break the bank is slowly slipping away.

Nevertheless, the article does mention that Tesla is still contributing to the fight against climate change, despite the shift in focus. They’re working to increase the production of their more affordable Model 3 and are planning to release a $25,000 electric car in the near future. So, all hope is not lost!

To sum it all up, Tesla was once all about climate change, driverless cars, and AI, but now they seem to be more focused on profitability and luxury vehicles. While it may be disappointing to some, it’s necessary for them to succeed financially in order to continue their efforts in combating climate change. And who knows, maybe in the future we’ll still get to see more affordable and eco-friendly Teslas on the road. Fingers crossed!
