Tesla driver careens onto sidewalk in Texas | Fox News Video

So, I just read this crazy article about a Tesla driver who ended up on the sidewalk in Texas! Apparently, the guy was driving down the road and ended up losing control of his car, swerving across the lanes and onto the pavement. Luckily, no one got hurt, but it’s definitely a wild story.

What’s even crazier than that, is that the entire accident was caught on video by a nearby surveillance camera. You can see the car barreling down the road, and then suddenly veering off course and onto the sidewalk.

Now, I’m not the most experienced driver in the world, but I feel like it’s pretty obvious that you’re not supposed to end up on the sidewalk while driving. I mean, isn’t that what driver’s ed is for? But then again, maybe the guy was just having a really bad day.

All jokes aside though, this article brings up a really important issue: the safety concerns surrounding self-driving cars. While this particular incident involved a human driver, it’s not hard to imagine a similar situation happening with a car that’s supposed to be autonomous.
