Tesla Cybertruck paint jobs are confusing people

So I read this hilarious article about the new Tesla Cybertruck paint jobs and boy, was it confusing for people! Basically, the company released a bunch of samples labeled with names like “blue,” “green,” and “gray” but they all ended up looking very different in person. Some people were even calling them “Space X” colors instead of Tesla.

According to the article, this confusion was caused by the fact that Tesla uses a matte finish on their trucks, which can make colors appear differently depending on the lighting. Plus, the names of the colors didn’t really match up with what people were expecting. As someone who’s owned a few different cars over the years, I can definitely relate to the struggle of picking out the right paint job. Sometimes the sample color looks totally different on the actual car!

But here’s the thing: while it might seem like a funny problem to have, it’s actually kind of a big deal. A lot of consumers base their purchases on things like color and style. So if you’re expecting a sleek, gray Cybertruck and you end up with something that looks more like olive green, that could be a dealbreaker. Plus, it’s a reminder that even the smallest details can have a big impact on how people perceive your product.

At the end of the day, it’s clear that Tesla has some work to do when it comes to their paint job options. Whether they need to start using different finishes or just be more upfront about what their colors really look like, it’s clear that they need to do a better job of setting expectations for their customers. But until then, I’ll just sit back and enjoy the memes that are sure to come out of this whole fiasco.
