So, I just read this crazy article about Tesla canceling a big order with a charity in San Jose called The Giving Pies. Basically, Tesla had ordered a bunch of pies worth thousands of dollars to give out to their employees as holiday gifts, but then they suddenly backed out last minute. The charity was left hanging and out of pocket, which is pretty messed up if you ask me.
The Giving Pies is a small non-profit that bakes pies to raise money for local schools and programs. They were really counting on this big order from Tesla to help fund their projects, so this cancellation hit them hard. It’s disappointing to see a big company like Tesla not following through on their commitment, especially when it’s for a good cause.
This whole situation just goes to show that even seemingly small decisions can have a big impact on others. It’s important to honor your promises and support local charities doing important work in the community. Hopefully, Tesla will make things right with The Giving Pies and learn from this experience.
