So, I’ve just read this cool article about SpaceX launching 52 Starlink satellites early this morning using a Falcon 9 rocket! Basically, SpaceX is building a network of internet-beaming satellites up in space, which is supposed to provide internet access to the whole world, especially those in remote areas who don’t have it yet.
The Starlink mission is still ongoing and has already launched around 1,200 satellites, which is crazy. Just imagine how it’ll look up there! Elon Musk, the guy behind SpaceX, said that they’re planning to launch another 4,000 satellites in the next few years to complete the Starlink project.
Honestly, it’s just really exciting to see us making progress towards accessing the internet from anywhere in the world. I remember growing up in a rural area where we didn’t have internet at all, and it was such a struggle to do simple things like homework or research online. So knowing that there’s a solution in the works to bridge that gap is really amazing.
Overall, this article just highlights how innovative we can be as a species and the type of progress we’re making in this day and age. I can’t wait to see what comes next!
