Resurfaced Nikola Tesla writings about machines with their 'own mind' eerily predict rise of AI

So, I stumbled upon this really interesting article about Nikola Tesla’s predictions on artificial intelligence, and it blew my mind. Basically, some of his writings from the 1920s suggest that machines will eventually become self-aware and operate with their own mind, which is the essence of AI. It’s just crazy to think that Tesla was talking about this stuff almost a century ago, and now we’re on the edge of seeing it become a reality.

The article discusses how Tesla believed that machines could “think” and even have their own consciousness, which is basically what we’re trying to achieve with AI today. He also expressed concern that if we ever reached a point where machines were capable of independent thought, it could become a major threat to humanity. While that may seem like a far-fetched idea, it’s definitely something worth considering as we continue to make technological advances.

Personally, I find the idea of AI both exciting and terrifying. On the one hand, it’s incredible to think about all the ways it could enhance our lives, from self-driving cars to healthcare technology. But on the other hand, the thought of machines possibly turning against us is straight out of a sci-fi movie. It’s a delicate balance between innovation and caution, and I’m curious to see how it all plays out.

Overall, the article sheds light on how someone like Tesla, who was ahead of his time in so many ways, had the foresight to predict the rise of AI. It’s fascinating to see how technology has evolved since then, and it makes me wonder what other predictions from the past will become reality in the future.
