Man Whose Tesla Caught Fire Said Customer Service Gave Strange Advice

So, there’s this crazy article I read about a guy whose Tesla caught fire and when he contacted customer service, they gave him some truly bizarre advice. Basically, the guy’s car caught fire while he was on the highway and he was understandably freaking out. When he called Tesla’s customer service for advice on what to do, they told him to try blowing on the flames to put them out. Yes, you read that right. Blowing on the flames like he was trying to extinguish birthday candles.

Now, I’ve always been a little skeptical of Tesla’s overall safety, even though they’ve been lauded for their environmentally friendly vehicles. Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s great that they’re trying to minimize our carbon footprint, but at the end of the day, safety should always come first. And when incidents like this happen, I can’t help but wonder if the company is prioritizing image over reality.

Anyway, going back to the article. It turns out that the customer service rep who advised the man to blow on the flames was actually a third party contractor and not a Tesla employee. But still, the fact that someone representing the company gave such ridiculous advice is pretty concerning. Thankfully, no one was hurt in the incident, but it’s definitely food for thought when it comes to Tesla’s overall safety protocols.

All in all, this article is a reminder that when it comes to making big purchases like a car, it’s important to do your homework and make an informed decision. And if anything does go wrong, it’s always better to err on the side of caution and seek professional help instead of relying on some questionable advice from a company representative.
