So I read this article about how Lyft is laying off employees and GM is discontinuing their Chevy Bolt. Oh, and to top it off, Tesla is getting into the ‘deep fake’ game. Crazy, right?
Basically, Lyft is restructuring their company to focus more on self-driving technology, which unfortunately means job cuts. And GM is pivoting towards more electric vehicles, which is great, but they’re putting an end to the Bolt. So if you were thinking of buying one, you might want to hurry up.
As for Tesla, they’re now using ‘deep fake’ technology as a defense against hackers trying to breach their security. It’s pretty wild to think about how advanced technology is getting, but it’s also kind of scary.
On a personal note, I’ve been a ride-share driver before and I can only imagine how the Lyft employees are feeling right now. It’s never easy to lose your job, especially when it’s due to restructuring. But hopefully, with the focus on self-driving technology, it’ll benefit the company in the long run.
Overall, it’s interesting to see how the world of transportation is changing and evolving with technology. It’s important to stay informed on these changes, not only for curiosity’s sake but also as consumers who may be affected by them.
