“I Studied Tesla in University”: Nigerian Man Converts Petrol Vehicle to Electric, Says It Does Not Make Noise

So, I just read this super cool article about a Nigerian man who converted a petrol vehicle to electric! His name is Segun Oyeyiola and he studied Tesla in university (which, side note, I wish I had the chance to do!). He wanted to do something about the pollution and noise caused by traditional cars, so he decided to take matters into his own hands.

Basically, he stripped down a Volkswagen Beetle and replaced the engine with an electric motor, added 80 lithium-ion batteries, and built a custom dashboard to monitor all the systems. And guess what? It works! It can travel up to 75 miles on a single charge and doesn’t emit any pollution or make any noise.

I’ve always been interested in electric cars, but I never knew you could convert a petrol car like that. It’s amazing to see people taking initiative and trying to make a difference. Plus, it could save them a ton of money on fuel costs and maintenance.

I think this article is important because it shows that individuals can make a difference, even if it seems like a small thing. And who knows, maybe Segun’s invention will inspire others to do the same. It also highlights the importance of green technology and innovation in reducing our carbon footprint and preserving our planet.
