Elon Musk's SpaceX hires former NASA official Kathy Lueders

So, I came across this article about SpaceX hiring a former NASA official named Kathy Lueders. Basically, Lueders used to lead NASA’s Commercial Crew Program, which was in charge of certifying private companies like SpaceX to carry astronauts to and from the International Space Station.

Now, as SpaceX continues to take on more and more ambitious missions (did you see they just sent 4 civilians to space?), they’ve brought Lueders on board as their Vice President of Mission Assurance. Essentially, she’ll be responsible for making sure that every SpaceX mission is safe, reliable, and up to the high standards that NASA and other space agencies demand.

It’s no secret that SpaceX has big plans for the future, from colonizing Mars to launching satellites that could transform the way we communicate and connect. And as exciting as all of that is, it’s also incredibly risky and complex. So, having someone like Lueders on the team who has decades of experience in spaceflight and safety is a huge win for SpaceX.
