Elon Musk Still Needs a 'Twitter Sitter' for Tesla Tweets: Judges

Have you ever considered hiring someone to monitor your social media accounts? Well, that may be a good idea for Elon Musk when it comes to his Twitter account. According to a group of judges, Musk still needs a ‘Twitter sitter’ for his tweets related to Tesla, even after settling a lawsuit with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) over a tweet he made in 2018.

The judges’ decision came after Musk tweeted about Tesla’s production numbers last year, which led to him being held in contempt of court. His tweets have been known to cause implications for the company, such as a drop in stock prices.

The judges also argued that Tesla needs to have a team, not just one individual, monitoring Musk’s tweets. Musk himself suggested this solution, by saying that the company would “implement more oversight” of his Twitter activity.

It’s not the first time Musk has faced trouble over his tweets. In 2018, he made a tweet about taking Tesla private, which led to the SEC suing him for fraud. Although he settled the lawsuit and agreed to have his tweets pre-approved by a lawyer, it seems like he still needs some guidance when it comes to his social media presence.

The judges’ decision highlights the importance of social media responsibility, especially for high-profile figures with significant influence. If someone as influential as Elon Musk can cause such a stir with his tweets, imagine how much impact an average person’s social media activity can have. In today’s digital world, it’s crucial to be mindful of what we share online and how it can affect ourselves and others.
