So, I was browsing the internet when I stumbled upon this article about Elon Musk claiming to have found the new CEO for Twitter. I was pretty intrigued because, you know, Elon Musk is always up to something.
Basically, Musk tweeted that he thinks Jack Dorsey, the current CEO of Twitter, should step down and make way for someone who can make the platform more user-friendly. He then suggested that scientist and academic Larry Brilliant would be a good fit for the job.
Now, I don’t know about you, but I don’t think Larry Brilliant’s name screams “social media guru.” He’s more known for his work in epidemiology and helping eradicate smallpox. But, according to Musk, Brilliant has the “right kind of chops” to turn Twitter into a more welcoming and positive place.
As someone who spends a lot of time on social media, I can definitely see where Musk is coming from. There’s so much negativity and hate out there, and Twitter is definitely not immune to it. If there’s anything that someone like Brilliant can bring to the table, it’s a fresh perspective and some much-needed positivity.
Overall, I think this is an interesting development in the world of social media. It’s clear that something needs to change on platforms like Twitter, and perhaps bringing in someone from outside the tech world could be just what the doctor ordered.
