Elon Musk said Twitter Blue subscribers would see 'half as many ads.' That's not true.

Elon Musk, CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, recently made an announcement on Twitter that subscribers to the social networking site’s premium service, Twitter Blue, would see “half as many ads.” However, it appears that Musk’s statement was not entirely accurate.

According to a Twitter spokesperson, subscribers to Twitter Blue will still see the same number of ads as non-subscribers, but they can now opt-out of seeing certain types of ads, such as those related to politics or sensitive content. Additionally, subscribers will have access to exclusive features like a “Bookmark Folders” option, undoing tweets, and custom app icons.

Although Elon Musk is known for his influence and out-of-the-box ideas, his recent tweet seems to have created some confusion about the features of Twitter Blue. Despite this, the new service remains a promising development in the world of social media. As consumers become more cautious of their privacy and ad exposure, Twitter’s new premium service might just offer the solution that some have been looking for.

In summary, Elon Musk’s recent statement about reducing the number of ads for Twitter Blue subscribers was not completely accurate. However, the premium service still offers many new features worth exploring, including the option to opt-out of certain ads and access to exclusive tools that could enhance the user experience. While it remains to be seen how successful Twitter Blue will be, it’s clear that social media giants are continuing to innovate and offer new services to attract and retain users.
