Elon Musk Insulted OpenAI Intern Who Was Later Given Trophy, 2018 Exit

So, I read this crazy article about Elon Musk insulting an intern from OpenAI. Apparently, this intern had tried to challenge Musk’s views on artificial intelligence and Musk didn’t take kindly to it. He called the guy a “lousy intern” and even made him give up his internship shortly after.

But here’s where it gets interesting. The same intern ended up getting a trophy from OpenAI just a few months later in recognition of his work. And apparently, Musk had nothing to do with it.

Now, I’m not saying I’m surprised that Musk can be a bit of a hothead sometimes. But it’s still pretty wild to see a situation like this play out so publicly.
